2. Jupiter Police Department and Code Enforcement Updates

  • There were reports of kids with disruptive behavior like fighting etc., at the Abacoa Town Center food truck Fridays. The Jupiter Police Department installed no trespassing signs around Abacoa Town Center, so they can trespass those acting out and it has been working.

  • Residents can visit www.jupiter.fl.us/Police to view a Community Crime Map showing crimes in the area.

  • Call non-emergency number if you see solicitors - (561) 746-6201

  • Neighborhood Enhancement Team (NET) Officer is Diana Zeitz

  • Jupiter Police Department has updates on Neighbors by Ring and Facebook

  • Golf Carts:

    • Definition of Golf Cart doesn’t matter because no Town of Jupiter roads are designated for golf carts so they are seen as a low-speed vehicles

    • To drive them, they must be registered, titled and insured to use, and the driver must have a valid drivers license

  • Traffic:

    • Police looking into having patrol watch the Drake and Marrian stop sign because of number people running the stop sign

  • Code Compliance

    • 320 violations in the heights since January 1

  • Financial Report

    • June started with 3,609.54

    • As of September 2022, there is $2,754.75 in the account

    • Biggest expenditure was dog waste bags

  • Julie Mitchell - Neighborhood Services is now merged with the PD office

    • There is a Community Moving Grant for $250 grant the Heights could apply for to use at an event

    • Julie’s Mitchell’s phone is 561-741-2511

    • Right now, the committee is meeting once or twice a year.

  • Palm Beach County Food Project

    • In august, the collection hit 1 million pounds of goods

  • New Committee Members voted in

    • Chairman of the Board - Sabrina Infiesta

    • Vice Chairman of the Board - Caroline Kennedy

    • Secretary - Katie Loop

    • Treasurer – Chuck Jordan

    • Events Chair - Emily Flynn

  • Halloween on Heights

    • We have more PD in the Heights than anywhere else

    • It was suggested that residents put out a trash can next to their driveway Halloween night

  • Upcoming events

    • Pumpkin decorating at the park and other activities. Date to be decided.

    • Holiday golf cart parade toy collection - trying to get JPD to lead it

    • Two vendor events in December
