Reports from Town of Jupiter Attendees
Officer Jeff Bernstein and Chief Kitzerow from the Town of Jupiter Police Department :
There were very few incidents in the neighborhood in the month of December. Unsecured vehicles and garage doors being left open along with items being left in plain view seem to be constant problems in our neighborhood. TOJPD beefed up patrols in the neighborhood during the month of December.
Tracy Lamport: Tracy advised that she will try and assist the Friends of the Heights to move the meetings to Independence Middle School. Katie Shepard made a motion to pay $30.00 per month to move the meetings to Independence Middle School once the approval is given. The motion was seconded by Shannon Krause.
Liz Shetterly: Liz discussed the problem with the lot on Michael and Marrion. A decision was made by the Chairperson to have Double D landscaping mow the easement during the month of December. The Board discussed with the TOJ what could be done to assist the homeowner as well as keep with the Town ordinances. TOJ will get with Bob the site triangle for that corner to possibly erect a sign
February 2 is the Jupiter Jubilee.

Tracy and Gina discussed the Parade of Homes. Jerry Mitchell, Jim Accursio, Jane Pike of the Jupiter Tequesta Realtors Association discussed the general format of the Parade of Homes event. National City Bank has sponsored 2 trolleys and a Port O let. We need to think of Curb Appeal events (i.e. a pallet of flowers per household) to assist the homeowners make the neighborhood more desirable.
There are a total of 36 homes for sale. 26 of them are $300k and under. The Board would like to have several long time residents of the Heights to be on each of trolley and in the park speaking to potential residents. Katie will have copies of old newspapers at the park as well.
TOJ Courier will assist in advertising the Parade of Homes events. The Housing Specialist from the TOJ will present as well. Bob Gentile will provide a PA system in the park.
