Letters To The Editor~

~Letters To The Editor~

Could you do me a favor and let me know the name of the guy that does the spray tan and would like to get his number if you have it. I want to get a spray tan when I go up for our 40th reunion.  So I want to make an appointment ahead of time.

Thank you so very much,

Nancy

Nancy-

Glad to help—the tanning guy is Mike with Sunset Tans. He has salons in three locations including the Promenade Plaza. I hope you have a great time at your 40th reunion. Let me know if you need more information

Katie,

Hi! I was wondering if something could be done about the height of the nets on the basketball court. They appear to be set so high. We've tried to play there and tried to lower the nets ourselves but weren't able to. Thanks for anything you can offer.

Warmly,

Val B.

Val,

We too agreed that this was a wonderful idea- however upon further investigation we were told that previously when nets were shorter- the baskets were abused. According to Parks and Recreation there has been a constant stream of vandalism, regrettably forcing the county to weld the baskets at the Height seen. Wish I could offer you a more positive answer.

Katie-

My neighbor this morning asked me some questions about the sign. He also wanted to know where to send his check.  I went on the website for the first time trying to find our address.  Boy, am I impressed. That is a million dollar website. Kudoos to Edie, I think she is the person that designed it, no?  Our neighborhood is so fortunate to have such dedicated and talented residents, like you, Gina and Edie to help.

As you probably know by now I am computer challenged, and I could not find our mailing address. I am assuming it is still the PO Box. Is it on the website?

Also the picture of the sign and the list of supplies in this month newsletter is just great.

Thanks.

June

June,

Thanks for your kind comments- we are naturally very proud of the web site and forever grateful to Edie for taking on such a challenge. Our mailing address is The Friends of the Heights, P. O. Box 2233, Jupiter, Fl. 33468. Only by working together can we possibly build a better neighborhood for all of us to live in. Hope that helps-

Katie

I heard you are the “To Go To” Person for Heights Advertising--- my question is How do I get my business on our web site and is there an additional cost to link my web site to it?

Thanks for your help

Hugh B.

Hugh,

Advertising in our Heights Service Directory is not as hard or as expensive as people might think. First of all fees to our residents are approximately half of what they would be to anyone else—that is our way of helping (and encouraging) neighbors to support neighbors. We want you to first turn to the service directory and those businesses listed want above all else to be able to assist their neighbors. It does work. In any case—The ONLY way you can be listed on our web site or link to yours IS By advertising in our service directory. And get this--- there is NO additional fee for that opportunity. Any advertiser purchasing a business card or larger automatically gets a free link through to their site from the Heights site—the best value for the money anywhere. If you are interested in learning more about this or fees involved- let either June Brown or I (cell 635-2884) know- we are happy to help and we would love the chance to add you to the list of favored businesses in the Heights

Katie-

My neighbor told me about the Service Directory but the problem is I don’t own the business- I just work there. My employer however would love to advertise in our paper and I would benefit from this as well. Is this possible?

Sandra

Robinson St.

Dear Sandra-

Absolutely!! As long as there is a tie to our neighborhood you can advertise on that page. You could be an independent contractor working on commission and we certainly wouldn’t want you to miss out on such an opportunity. I don’t own Lice Solutions either- I just run it but as such I want to help get the word out about the services we provide. Let your employer know as long as you have a job there J he can advertise on our Service Page, we just need to tie it to a resident. He will receive the same pricing and benefits that resident do because ultimately a resident is still benefiting from this opportunity. I hope that clarify any questions you might have- please feel free to contact me directly if there are additional questions or concerns.
