Friends of the Heights-
Love the sign. Congratulations to those who
participated in its design!
Scott
Scott-
Thanks
for your kind comments regarding the sign.
The sign is a community project. Steve Mickley is responsible for it’s beautiful design. Boards past and present to
bringing it to reality and the wonderful people of the Heights for believing in
it’s possibility and offering their help, both financially ad physically
to finalize the dream. We hope you too will see what you can do to be a part of
this wonderful and rewarding project.

Katie,
How are things are
going with the sign
construction. Could you give us a brief update? I see that you got
the footer dug and we saw the
pictures. Any word on what’s happening next? What can we do to
help?
Jim S.
Jim,
Thanks
for your continued interest and support in the construction of our entry sign.
The footer has been dug and we are now awaiting rebar for the footers. Once
that is completed we can more forward with the concrete pour and from there the
actual construction of the sign. It
is an exciting venture for all of us and we anxiously await
the day of the signs completion. As
far as helping- please contact project manager Eugene Wise
at 662-1446. We are in urgent need of both skilled and unskilled individuals to
help.

Katie-
I would like to make my annual
donation but was unable to go to the groundbreaking. Is it possible to mail it
in and if so where?
Lila T.
Lila,
While we are sorry
that you missed the groundbreaking ceremony we are grateful that you recognize
the need for submitting your annual donation. It’s a small price to pay
for the assurance of living in such a wonderful neighborhood without the
burdens of HOAs. Our mailing address is The Friends
of the Heights, P. O. Box
2233, Jupiter, Fl. 33468. Thanks again
for your willingness to do your share.

Hello!
My name is Maria
Soljic, I live in the Heights on Garrett Street. My mother-in-Law lives on
Michael Street.
We are so happy and lucky to live here, it's been a great 2 years!
Mother-in-Law, Sanija Soljic has a cleaning company,
12 years in business. We are looking to have her name/contact info listed
in the Directory. Several of her clients are snowbirds,
so she is needing new work and her dream is to build a
client base here in our own neighborhood.
What are the steps to be listed on
the directory? Please let me know what info you require and the best way to get
it to you in time. Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely, Maria
Soljic
Maria,
Thanks for taking the time to contact us. We welcome the
opportunity to add your mother in law to our service directory. Because the
page is all about Heights residents we are able to offer her exposure at a
greatly reduced rate. It is a great way to get the information out and gain
much needed business within your own community. Please give me a call at
635-2884 and we can discuss which listing would best suit your
mother-in-law’s needs.

Fantastic Web Site! Looking forward to supplying this
website address to prospective buyers in our neighborhood! As a Resident Realtor here since 1991, I've seen
an abundance of changes...this is one of the best! Glad to see things "looking
up!"
Waleah Norton
Dear Waleah-
Thanks for your kind
comments. We are very proud of our web site and have Edie
Gentile to thank for taking on such a major undertaking. We
hope you’ll continue to check it out on a regular basis as we add
additional Heights stories, Listings of Heights businesses, pictures of events,
and notice that impact Heights residents. Our web address is reflective of our
new neighborhood name www.HeighsofJupiter.com.

Hi Katie,
I just read the Height newsletter. I just want you to know
that I think you are doing such an outstanding job with this paper. I
thoroughly enjoyed your editorial (as always). Gina
also writes such a nice article each month. I do feel somewhat
guilty that I have not contributed an article for such a long time. They say
the road to hell is paved with good intentions, so I guess that's where I am
going. I don't think the residents really appreciate how lucky we are to
have such a caring, dedicated,
knowledgeable person as our editor. You contribute so much of your time so
that we can maintain our Heights Newsletter. We almost lost our
Newsletter before you stepped up to the plate. Nobody in this
neighborhood is busier than you. Running a non profit organization in West Palm
and now opening a new location in Tennessee.
You are a true blessing and I truly appreciate your contribution to our
community. Thank you so much.
June
June,
Thanks as always for your very kind remarks.
Editing the paper is truly my pleasure and one that I think is worthy of my
time. Few neighborhoods of our size (especially without an HOA) can boast that
they have their own newspaper. Such a project however absolutely “takes a
village” as they say and without the help of contributors such as Gina, Scott,
Bob, Donald
and Holly such a paper would not be
possible. Contributions on a monthly basis however are not necessary. Even an
occasional story such as the ones submitted by the professor this month or our Rad Kid babysitter, Emily,
are equally important. The variety helps to keep the paper fresh and
interesting and worthy of insertion in our paper.
Thanks again for all you do to help make
this neighborhood a better place for all of us to live.

I recently spoke with someone in regards to assisting with a welcoming
committee. I am Nancy Shepherd Shurtleff and
have been living on Foster Street
since Christmas. I am more than willing to help with a welcoming committee,
just would not be able to "chair" it. I have worked extensively
with the Elkettes of Jupiter and other hospitality
oriented organizations and feel qualified to "welcome" any and
all new neighbors. I have some
good ideas, but as I said, would not be able to chair. You can give
my e-mail address to whomever does chair this
project. Looking forward to working with my new community.
Nancy Shepherd Shurtleff
Nancy,
Thanks for your willingness to be a part of
such a wonderful project. We, the board, felt that with so many new faces
moving in the area it would be nice to have a program in place to help make
them feel welcome in our community. We hope to not only introduce them to the
many benefits we enjoy here but also present them with a couple of donated gift
certificates from local merchants. We are diligently looking for someone to
assist you in this project and hope to match you with another individual soon.
There are many worthy projects for interested and willing individuals- all it takes is someone
like you willing to step up to bat and make their interest known. Thanks again.
Katie
