Using Your Firewalls Windows XP SP2!!

Windows XP
has a basic firewall that gives you protection from people trying to access
your computer while you are on the internet. It also gives you the advantage to
turn it off and on.
To turn the XP Firewall on or off:
Control Panel
Click on
Windows Start
Click on
Control Panel
Click on
Window Security Center
Click on
Windows Firewall
Click in the
space next to On or Off
Windows XP Menu
Click on Windows
Start
Move your mouse
cursor to "Connect To" until it is highlighted
Click on
"show all connections"
Right Click
on the internet connection you use,
Click on
Properties on the drop down menu that appears.
Click on the
"Advanced" tab on the window that appears.
Under the
first area called "Internet Connection Firewall" click on the box
next to "protect my computer and network by limiting or preventing access
to this computer from the internet" to put a check mark there to turn the
firewall on.
To turn it
off click on the same box to take the check mark out.
Click on Ok.

Settings
Click on
Network Connections
Right Click
on your internet connection you use to connect to the internet..
Click on
properties
Click on the
"Advanced" tab on the window that appears.
Under the
first area called "Internet Connection Firewall" click on the box
next to "protect my computer and network by limiting or preventing access
to this computer from the internet" to put a check mark there to turn the
firewall on.
To turn it
off click on the same box to take the check mark out.
Click
on Ok.
